Wedeman Consulting was established by Benjamin Wedeman I.Eng M.I.C.E an Incorporated Engineer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers with 15 years engineering experience. After graduating from Plymouth University in 1996, Ben started working for a steel fabricator and after 2.5 years, moved to join a civil & structural consultancy quickly rising to Associate status, before leaving to set up his own practice. Ben is also a husband, father and when work levels allow it, a keen golfer.

Ben has developed a vast range of engineering skills fully conversant with structural designs in a variety of materials such as steel, concrete, masonry and specialising in glulam and timber frame design. His experience enables him to make sound engineering judgements and prepare economic designs saving clients money on build costs.

We prepare calculations using the latest industry leading design software TEDDS Version 12 which allows calculations to be prepared to British Standards and Eurocodes. We also use S-Frame analysis software which enables us to design unusual and sometimes flamboyant frameworks from timber, steel or concrete to suit any bespoke architectural design. Drawings are presented in CAD format using the latest AutoCad 2011 software.
We have experience with designing and altering many types of buildings and structures including residential (estate houses, bespoke houses and flats up to 6 storeys), schools, churches, industrial units, offices, mezzanine floors and agricultural.
