Launched in 2003, Westframe was conceived in response to the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) 1998 Egan Report, ‘Rethinking Construction’, which challenged the construction industry to create quicker to build, more energy efficient, environmentally friendly and more cost effective housing Our products were initially developed for use specifically by housing associations since timber enables compliance with this report and the Housing Corporation’s requirements in terms of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
Westframe supply 100% of the frames required for Westleigh’s timber framed homes and commercial developments, but are also able to supply external developers too. Westframe is proud to be a member of the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA).
