Stewart Dalgarno has 40 years of unrivalled expertise, knowledge and project management skills, having worked as a senior executive for Stewart Milne Group, in there timber frame and housebuilding operations.

  • Masters Degree (with distinction) in Project Management
  • MD of UK leading timber frame business Stewart Milne Timber Systems (prior to sale to Donaldson Group)
  • Developed the UKs first automated timber frame factory at Witney Oxon in 2002
  • Former Technical board member and Chairman of UKTFA (prior to STA) and board member of CSIC (now BE-ST) and CSLG
  • Built the UKs first near zero carbon prototype home, The Sigma Home at BRE Watford in 2007
  • Developed the triple award winning fully accredited Sigma II closed panel timber frame system.
  • Project director of two award winning flagship collaborative innovation projects, AIMC4 & AIMCH, funded in partnership with government and industry partners, focused on low energy building fabric, MMC, advanced manufacturing and next generation offsite construction solutions
  • Project director for three STA fire testing programmes, leading to recognised industry guidance on Fire Safety During Construction (16 steps, Fire Mitigation Systems and Site Safe Guidance), Fire Safety in Use (STA Pattern Book) and BS 8414 cladding compliance.
  • Represented industry on several government/industry working groups on MMC/Offsite, Energy Efficiency, Fire Safety, Sustainability and Zero Carbon roadmaps.
